A few items written by Sally Bushnell for her own amusement & to strengthen memory in relation to dates, &c. 1855-1865.

Basically a diary, Bushnell wrote down community events and weather on scattered dates from May 21, 1855-December 25, 1858. She mentions visits between the various Shaker communities, the arrival of new children and children running away, deaths of Shakers, painting various rooms, making syrup, the installation of a new clothes wringer, shearing sheep and washing wool, changes in leadership, etc. Her own death, at age 69, was recorded on December 11, 1865. Most of the volume is blank.
